watched hancock yesterday. i’ve seen the trailer like a million time, and it looked like an awesome movie. the premise seemed so damn cool. one messed up, washed out superhero trying to save the world. except, he wrecks most of it himself in the process. so the world hates him, they want him out of the picture. then this PR man steps in and saves the day and somehow redeems hancock’s career and turns him into the hero he was meant to be. at this point, i would say if that was the whole movie and the entire process was screened during the 90 minutes i spent in the theatre, it would’ve been a decent movie.

but no, everything above was just half the movie. and it was the better half of the movie by a mile. everything just goes downhill from the moment he saves the day at the bank. turns out, the PR guys wife is also super powered. and wait, it gets better. both she and hancock have shared a history stretching thousands of years. then when they’re together, they become normal mortals but when there’s a distance between them, they become superheroes. apparently, thats the plot for the second half of the movie. it doesn’t make much sense, its ludicrious, much of it unexplained and it makes me feel very cheated for having been fooled by a trailer that made me believe i was going to watch something else altogether.

i think i’m getting too influenced by movie reviews. they’re spoiling movies for me.

yeeha i splurged 85 dollars on guitarhero aerosmith and i did it knowing full well that in two months its only gonna cost 70 bucks. i can’t help it, i am completely hooked on the game. i spent the whole afternoon, on my day off no less, standing in front of the tv playing on a plastic guitar. it sounds tragic, i know, but seriously its way addictive and its finally giving me a real reason to use my xbox. if i remember right, i got stuck on this solo in the afternoon, so i went to practice mode and played the solo like twenty times just to get it right, which by the way, i haven’t perfected yet.

i think my life as a useful human being is officially over. i used to waste my time using my comp, or rotting in front of the television. ever since my computer came crashing down all around me, i’ve had to use my dad’s laptop. well, today is the first time i’m officially using it the way a laptop should be used. on my lap as i sit in front of the television. oh god, i think i’m never gonna move my ass again. by the way, i’m watching supernatural season 3 and the new season is completely violent and awesome.

fucking sian, ndp tomorrow. what a waste of my life.
